THREE IMAGES

This drawing was one of my first attempts at creating an actual scene. Usually most of my drawings are of single characters. Before creating this image I had only created very simple scenes with around two characters. I also experimented to a degree, using stylized faces whilst attempting to use realistic style shading. The scene itself is one described to me by a friend in a creative writing piece. The drawing took me around two days to create and I am very happy with the end result.

The Beijing Olympic Stadium is a great piece of architecture. The “bird’s nest” design of the stadium was created in order to conceal the supports to one of the main features of the stadium, a moveable roof. This roof was later scrapped, and the “bird’s nest” design became the iconic feature of the stadium.

My old pet rabbit is something beautiful to me. I have various childhood memories with him. We found him after he snuck into our garden when I was still in primary school. We fed him and he stayed in the garden for a long time. I remember he ran away many times, but we always found him again sitting at the door of the backyard, eagerly awaiting another meal.
